And version 2, added some DoF =]
Yesterday I have joined The Nature Academy!
I went for the Premium membership, so I can enjoy it to the fullest =]
Let the designing begin! (Again =P)
Going strong today!
Made yet another 3D scene, with the help of Andrew Price at Blender Guru.
This time a snowy mountain, made with the latest “The Nature Academy” tutorial.
Of course, yet again built with Blender and internal rendering.
After a long time, I finally made a new piece of 3D art again.
This planet earth was built according to the How to Create e Realistic Earth from Blender Guru.
After following the tutorial I made a moon to join it, and edited some textures.
I updated the earth’s water textures, to have some nice ripples for more effect =]
I just bought a DirectX Tutorial Premium account! =D
This means I can continue to follow the tutorials on this site and I can continue developing my engine! =D
Finally after some long busy period with work and other stuff, I finally could get back to DirectX programming.
I started on my own try-out game engine called the Maniac Engine.
I finally finished the D3D basics on DirectX Tutorials and now have the fundamentals for my game engine.
As seen on the image I have altered the code from the tutorials a bit to learn about the rendering process and the primitive types. The tutorial only showed how to draw a default triangle, and with a bit of trial and error I managed to rebuilt it to a square. =]
More updates soon!
Finally after some bugging around in C++ and OpenGL, I decided to turn to DirectX.
About 4-5 years ago, I started to learn Delphi on my education. After about a month of screwing around in Windows forms, a classmate introduced me to Aspyhre. This was my first real contact of DirectX programming.
After a bit of trying out, we decided to built a game. A Mario clone to be exact (how original!).
Sadly, I don’t have the code to this anymore, but I was mainly building the AI and graphics.
In the following years we stopped using Delphi and started learning C#. From that point on never really used any graphic libraries.
Until about 2 years ago, when I started the Game Design specialization for my current education. Thanks to this I rebooted my interest in the graphical side of programming.
Since then I have been trying out a lot off stuff. But I mainly worked with C# and XNA. Even used it for school. After working a while with XNA I decied that I wanted to go more advanced and I started to try out OpenGL. No real reason why I choose it, just looked the most interesting.
After fiddling around with C++ and OpenGL, I last week decided to go back to my roots where it all started, DirectX programming.
I searched around a bit on the web, in search of a good C++ and DirectX tutorial set, preferred on DirectX 11.
After some search I found DirectX Tutorial, a really good website, providing good tutorials on DX 11.
When I’m done with the free basic tutorials, maybe I’m going to subscribe, for the rest of the tutorials.
But we’ll notice that when I get there!
Another Blender test project.
A full Blender render this time, no external renderers used.
Final touches made with the Blender compositor.
Only fault in it is the Starbucks logo inside the front cup…
I thought it was a nice personal touch, so I left it there =P
This post contains all my random drawings that have no cattegory (yet)
